Short Description:
Electro galvanizing: also known as cold galvanizing in the industry, it is the process of forming a uniform, dense and well bonded metal or alloy deposition layer on the surface of the workpiece by electrolysis.
Compared with other metals, zinc is relatively cheap and easy to be plated. It is a low value anti-corrosion electroplated coating. It is widely used to protect iron and steel parts, especially to prevent atmospheric corrosion, and for decoration. Plating technology includes bath plating (or hanging plating), barrel plating (suitable for small parts), blue plating, automatic plating and continuous plating (suitable for wire and strip).

The purpose of electro galvanizing is to prevent steel objects from being corroded, improve the corrosion resistance and service life of steel, and increase the decorative appearance of products. Steel will be corroded by weathering, water or soil with the increase of time. In China, the corroded steel accounts for almost one tenth of the total steel volume every year. Therefore, in order to protect the service life of steel or its parts, electro galvanizing is generally used to process steel.
Because zinc is not easy to change in dry air and can produce a basic zinc carbonate film in humid environment, this film can protect internal parts from corrosion damage. Even if the zinc layer is damaged by some factors, zinc and steel will combine to form a micro battery after a period of time, so that the steel matrix becomes a cathode and is protected. It has good corrosion resistance, fine and uniform combination, and is not easy to be entered by corrosive gas or liquid.
Because the zinc layer is relatively pure, it is not easy to be corroded in acid or alkali environment. Effectively protect the steel body for a long time.
It can be used in various colors after chromate passivation. It can be selected according to customers’ preference. Galvanizing is beautiful and decorative.
The zinc coating has good ductility and will not fall easily during various bending, handling and impact.
